Oh Bruce, your papers final dimise is very sad. The walls around you are closing in, and you’ve cashed in all your chips. The lawsuit against Village Voice Media is your last stand. Win or lose, when it’s over, you have nothing left. Sure, maybe a few last features about how you fought the law, and the law destroyed you, but then it’s time for you and your investors to go away. Unless you are drawing about 50% of your revenue from your online site… which by the way, doesn’t even have a fucking navigation (what’s that about???), then your business is about as biodegradable as your paper, and will last about as long as last weeks issue in a SF rainstorm.

Good luck Bruce, we will miss you.

University of Phoenix (UOP) has one of the most incompetent technical director of all time. However, this is not so much a post about Willie Wheeler and his lameness, but an SEO experiment on how hi I can get the blog post to rank when someone types “Willie Wheeler” in a Google search. I at least would like to think of Willie Wheeler typing his own name, our someone at the University of Phoenix that works with Willie Wheeler Technical Director searching their bosses complete worthlessness online, and finding this entry. Hey Willie, I know you have people on your current staff that have big brains, but you and your team have zero web knowledge. It will be fun to watch your new department cave in around you. Good luck, and remember Willie Wheeler… “Learn to Swim” TOOL 1996

These are all very good questions people, very good questions INDEED.

As you all know, Danko Toys has fallen upon hard times since we lost the lawsuit regarding our “Cactus Friends Fun-Pals Play Set”. We’ve all been saddened by the recent layoffs (which reminds me, I just noticed I included Jack.M@dankotoys.org - sorry about that buddy, disregard ;) LOL) which of course has everybody around the office wondering what the future holds for them/if they have any future with the company whatsoever.

A wolf...with wings.

When I was eight years old my family lived in the heavily wooded area of Woodenville, WA on a property that boasted a very large backyard complete with a small creek, tree house and many angry bees. I would spend hours with my friends playing “guns” which consisted mainly of throwing rocks at one another from fortified positions. This was the norm until the N.E.S. was released and playing outside became a distant memory.

Along with playing video games comes the occasional TV break. A time to grab snacks, answer the call of nature and ultimately reflect on how your current mission (whatever it might be) is going.

During these brief periods of rest I found myself absolutely enthralled with the popular 80’s television series Airwolf.

Beep...Bomp...We’ve all heard them. Soft whispers over the water cooler, heated debate at the gym and now with talk of impending doom among friends and family at church, it would seem there is only one thing on the minds of the good people of planet Earth…A Giant Asteroid is headed this way and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

Tool Postpones US Tour Due To Drummer Injury

Tool drummer Danny Carey was forced to undergo surgery on Sunday after tearing his bicep, postponing Tool’s ‘10,000 Days’ two month tour across the US. Carey is reported to have recovered well from the surgery and new tour dates will be announced soon. Leave Danny a “get well soon” message here…

We were lucky enough to see them this January headlining our 2007 Big Day Out shows, but unlucky US fans will have to hold onto their tickets a little longer to see Tool tour this year due to an unfortunate injury for drummer Danny Carey, who tore his bicep and was forced to undergo surgery on Sunday.

Earlier this week, it was reported that ringtones are the newest additions to the RIAA’s shit list. One source reports, “…one piece of software that allows users to make their own ringtones (Xingtone) is of special interest to the music business lobby group. The RIAA fears that people will make ringtones out of pirated songs, compounding the file-sharing problem while robbing the music industry of a new source of revenue.

Here’s the bottom line; this is just a small part of a much larger attack. The RIAA has way bigger things in store for us. Read more
